Disaster Recovery

Bowling Green was hit hard by a tornado in December 2017. Seventeen people in our community lost their lives, and hundreds of homes were damaged or destroyed. Countless people volunteered their time and money to assist in cleaning up damaged homes and supplying survivors with needed food and clothing.

As time goes by, the tornado is becoming less of a priority for most folks in our community–but the survivors often have a long road to recovery ahead of them.

Refuge Bowling Green is pleased to partner with local churches and with United Way of Southern Kentucky to provide support families as they do the hard task of rebuilding their lives.
